St Peter's School - Barcelona

Eduard Toldra 18, Barcelona, 08034, Spain

St Peter's School is an independent international school in Barcelona, founded in 1964 as the first international school in Catalonia to teach principally in English. It welcomes students from age 1, in Foundation 1 and Foundation 2, through to graduation at 18, offering a coherent English-language educational journey that leads into the full International Baccalaureate continuum: the PYP, the MYP and the Diploma Programme.

The school combines academic depth, inquiry, scientific and technological understanding, cultural literacy, personal development and ethical responsibility. Its purpose is not simply to help students succeed within existing systems, but to help them understand those systems, exercise judgement and contribute meaningfully to the world they will inherit.

Guided by its motto, A Step Beyond, St Peter's School is international in outlook while rooted in Barcelona and connected to Catalan and Spanish culture. It is academically ambitious without reducing excellence to scores or prestige, future-facing without treating every novelty as progress, and human-centred without lowering intellectual expectations.

The school offers a coherent educational journey from age 1 to graduation; English as the principal language of learning within a multilingual, locally rooted environment; close guidance grounded in genuine knowledge of each student; and the integration of science, technology, humanities, arts and ethical reflection. Students are prepared for university and, more broadly, for complexity, change and responsibility.

St Peter's School combines institutional independence with a close-knit community, allowing it to make long-term educational decisions and adapt its practice without reducing education to a standardised product.
