EAS offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) authorised in 2017, the IB Diploma Programme (DP) authorised in 2015, and the Middle Years Programme (MYP) authorised in 2021, officially becoming an IB World School. Since opening with 95 students in 2012, the school has grown to 1,901 students. Learners moving from the Primary Years Programme into the Middle Years and Diploma Programmes develop strong skills in respect, creativity, innovation, intercultural understanding, and critical thinking.
In 2023, the European Azerbaijan School was accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), reaffirming its commitment to high-quality international education. EAS is also accredited for the IB Career-related Programme (CP), making it the only school in Azerbaijan authorised in all four IB Programmes. The school is an Accredited Member of COBIS and a NEASC Candidate School. EAS has been shortlisted for the Tes International Schools Awards 2025 in the Leadership Award category. Additionally, it has been recognised as one of the top IB schools in the Middle East, celebrating the dedication and excellence of its students and educators.
As an international school, EAS nurtures culturally aware, open-minded learners. It encourages collaboration and communication, supporting a welcoming school community built on respect and shared values. The school community represents 57 nationalities, offers 30+ student clubs, and teaches seven languages, including Italian, French, Chinese, German, Azerbaijani, Spanish, and Russian.
The European Azerbaijan School operates across two campuses: Yasamal hosts Early Years and Primary programmes, while Badamdar accommodates the Middle Years, Diploma, and Career-related Programmes.
